To help ensure compliance with the spirit of the Scottish Government request and advice on Coronavirus and social distancing, the office of Ethical Futures closed on Monday 23rd March.

Our staff are all working remotely from home and this situation will continue until we have clear advice that it is safe to resume normal conduct of business.

The email of all individuals continues to function as normal and this is the best way to contact a specific member of the team.

Our main phone line 0131-557-6677 is diverted to a mobile line. Our advisers direct dial numbers will also divert to mobiles but other extensions will just go to an unmonitored answer message.

We will endeavour to provide service 'as usual 'but there will inevitably be glitches in systems and communications as well as limitations in issuing reports etc.  Please note the following comments about arrangements for advice and communications: –

  • Please try to contact us by email. Post to our offices may take up to a week to be answered due to office closure.
  • We ceased holding face to face client meetings with effect from Thursday 19th March. We shall review this policy after the Easter break but expect this policy to stay in force for longer and until otherwise advised.
  • We are taking a temporary break in carrying out client review meetings, so that we have time to fully establish effective remote working policies. We expect to recommence reviews after the Easter break but on a ‘remote’ basis only.
  • We can offer clients the option of a ‘remote meeting’ by phone call or ‘web’ call instead of meeting in person.  Please note that for ‘web meetings’ you will need to have access to reasonable quality broadband, a camera on your pc and sound card (or a smart phone). We use a system called Zoom which is relatively easy to download and get working without too much technical knowhow.
  • We shall contact clients who already have appointments booked to offer them alternative to the scheduled meeting.
  • We shall continue to be available to deal with ad hoc questions by email and by phone.

Take care – Stay safe
