Just as the name suggests, Fairtrade aims to make trade fair. They work alongside farming co-operatives, businesses and governments to improve the conditions and rights of workers. They aim to set social, economic and environmental standards for all those involved in supply chains. For farmers and workers, they are working towards improving workers' rights and working conditions to ensure that they have a safe and fair workplace. Fairtrade work with companies to ensure that they are paying their workers a fair wage.

You’ll know that a product has been produced in a Fairtrade supply chain when it can display the Fairtrade Mark (displayed at the top of this page). You can find Fairtrade products across a wide range of categories from chocolate to cotton. They are constantly working to increase the number of certified products.
